## Quick answer

Singapore's Health Promotion Board (HPB) uses Asia-Pacific standards: Normal weight is BMI 18.5–22.9. Overweight is BMI 23–27.4. Obese is BMI 27.5 or above. These are stricter than WHO thresholds (overweight ≥25, obese ≥30) because Singaporeans and other Asians face higher metabolic risks at lower BMI.
